abingdon boys school
abingdon boys school (a.b.s.) is a project consisting of four individuals: Takanori Nishikawa (Vocal), SUNAO (Guitar), Hiroshi Shibasaki (Guitar), and Toshiyuki Kishi (Keyboard & Programming). Takanori Nishikawa of T.M.Revolution is the band’s front man.
Surrounding him, there are three well-experienced members: Toshiyuki Kishi who has toured with artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto and Tomoyasu Hotei; Hiroshi Shibasaki who started his career as the original member of WANDS, and has been involved with a lot of songwriting and music arrangement; and, SUNAO who has participated in many concerts, recordings, and live sessions.
a.b.s. started its activity in 2005, and debuted with the single "INNOCENT SORROW" in December, 2006. Compared to the previous incarnation that was expressed by Takanori Nishikawa’s T.M.R project, they present a different and unique vision. Musically speaking, a.b.s. is more experimental and rambunctious, with a style often described as alternative rock. As for their live performance, a.b.s. has been known to bring the house down with their unfettered enthusiasm and energy.
